Google invites applications for its prestigious EMEA Legal Summer Institute (LSI) 2025, a one-of-a-kind program designed to empower law students across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) with practical legal insights and exposure to the tech industry. The LSI aims to support diversity and inclusion in the legal profession by offering underrepresented law students an opportunity to connect with legal professionals and explore the intersection of law and technology.

Taking place over several days, the EMEA Legal Summer Institute program will be hosted at various Google offices across the EMEA region. Participants will engage in hands-on workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions with Googlers, external counsel, and industry leaders.

Eligibility Criteria

Locations: Austria (Vienna), Belgium (Brussels), Egypt (Cairo), Ethiopia (Addis Ababa), France (Paris), Germany (Hamburg), Ireland (Dublin), Israel (Tel Aviv), Italy (Milan), Kenya (Nairobi), Netherlands (Amsterdam), Poland (Warsaw), Portugal (Lisbon), Romania (Bucharest), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh), Spain (Madrid), Switzerland (Zurich), Tanzania (Dar es Salaam), Türkiye (Istanbul), Uganda (Kampala), Great Britain/United Kingdom (London), and Zimbabwe (Harare).

To apply and participate, students must:

  • Have work authorization in the country of internship
  • Be a law student who would like to or is considering entering the legal profession
  • Demonstrate academic excellence
  • Provide a resume
  • Be comfortable working in the English language as the Google week will be held in English

Locations

  • One week of the program is hosted by Google across EMEA. Besides this week, students will carry out their work experience with one of our partner law firms located throughout EMEA.

Note: While students are free to apply to participate in EMEA LSI in a country that is different to the one in which they usually reside (subject to the eligibility requirements), Google will not cover associated overseas travel or accommodation costs.
