The AI Hub for Sustainable Development Compute Accelerator Programme 2025/2026 is a fully-funded initiative created to empower AI innovators, researchers, and startups working on solutions that address global challenges. This programme provides access to cutting-edge compute resources, technical mentorship, and funding opportunities to accelerate the development and deployment of artificial intelligence applications that drive sustainable development goals (SDGs).
By joining this programme, AI innovators will gain the tools and support needed to build scalable AI-driven solutions that can transform industries such as health, agriculture, education, climate action, and energy.
- Programme Dates: October 2025 – March 2026
This six-month accelerator will support 120 AI ventures across Africa by providing access to advanced GPU and cloud infrastructure, alongside mentorship and international collaboration opportunities.
There are two tracks:
- Compute Ready Track – For 20 market-validated AI ventures that already have products with immediate compute needs.
- Compute Curious Track – For 100 early-stage AI ventures with strong potential but limited technical readiness.

Eligibility Criteria
The programme is open to:
- AI entrepreneurs, startups, research-led ventures, and innovators based in 14 priority African countries.
- Teams tackling high-impact domains such as health, climate, agriculture, education, governance, finance, and more.
- Ventures that need access to GPU computing power, cloud credits, or technical mentorship to accelerate their innovation.
- Innovators committed to scaling solutions that directly benefit sustainable development in Africa.
