The ANRS MIE Fellowships 2026 provide fully funded Master’s grants to talented professionals and students from low- and middle-income countries who aim to advance their education and professional expertise in public health, social sciences, and related fields.

Organized by the Agence Nationale de Recherches sur le Sida et les hépatites virales (ANRS), this initiative promotes capacity building, international collaboration, and innovation by supporting scholars who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to addressing health and social challenges in their countries.

The program encourages candidates to join a global network of researchers, academics, and public health professionals, facilitating knowledge exchange, collaborative research, and leadership development.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are generally required to:

  • Be a citizen of a low- or middle-income country
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and research interest
  • Be committed to contributing to health, social, or development outcomes in their home country
  • Be accepted or planning to enrol in a Master’s program aligned with the ANRS focus areas
  • Show proficiency in the language of instruction at the host institution

For the 2026 edition, the internship offers are provided in collaboration with the following Partner Sites and PRISME:

  • Vietnam.
  • Brazil,
  • Burkina Faso,
  • Cambodia,
  • Côte d’Ivoire,
  • Guinea,
  • Senegal,

Application Process and Documents Required

The “Master’s grants – International Network” call for applications is conducted in two stages:

  • Phase I (November 26, 2025 – February 2, 2026): Submission of initial applications (presentation of the considered master’s degree(s) and selection of an internship offer proposed by a Partner Site/PRISME. Applicants can apply to only one offer).
  • Phase II (March 16, 2026 – May 14, 2026): Submission of the finalised applications for candidates selected in Phase I.

Applications must be submitted via the Apogée platform (section “AAP Exceptionnel”). The application form available below must be completed and uploaded to the Apogée platform.
