The ARISE Project 2026 is an international research initiative focused on developing advanced AI solutions across sectors such as healthcare, climate science, robotics, data systems, and sustainable development. Through fully funded PhD scholarships and postdoctoral fellowships, the program equips scholars with access to world-class laboratories, academic mentorship, and cross-institutional research networks.
Participants will undertake high-impact research aligned with the project’s mission to promote ethical, scalable, and socially beneficial AI innovation. The program also emphasises knowledge transfer, capacity building, and collaboration between academia, industry, and policy institutions.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the ARISE Project 2026 AI Scholarships and Fellowships, applicants must:
For PhD Scholarships:
- Hold a master’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
- Demonstrate strong research potential and academic excellence
- Show proficiency in programming and AI methodologies
For Postdoctoral Fellowships:
- Possess a PhD in Artificial Intelligence or a closely related discipline
- Have a proven publication record in reputable journals or conferences
- Demonstrate capacity for independent research and collaboration
Additional requirements may include English language proficiency and alignment with ARISE research themes.
Application Process and Documents Required
- Submit a detailed, approved postdoctoral research proposal (maximum 8 pages) outlining the project, work plan, outputs, impacts, and alignment with ARISE objectives.
- Provide a PhD certificate, transcripts, CV, publication list, two recommendation letters, and a formal letter of support and acceptance from the host institution.
- Highlight ethical AI and gender-responsiveness in the proposal.
- Apply via the ATPS online portal by 31 March 2026.
