Canon Collins Trust Sol Plaatje Scholarships 2025

The Canon Collins Trust, in partnership with the Sol Plaatje Educational Project, invites applications for postgraduate study in South Africa for the year 2025. This prestigious scholarship offers funding for up to two years for Masters and three years for PhD programs, with a focus on areas such as Justice, Education policy and practice, Humanities, and Journalism and Communications. Climate Justice will be a priority in 2025, with scholarship applications in science or applied science fields encouraged if they demonstrate relevance to climate justice matters.

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a national of, or have refugee status in, Namibia, South Africa, or Zimbabwe.
  • Be normally resident in one of the above countries.
  • Hold a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division) or be about to graduate.
  • Be studying or applying to study at a South African university.
