The Data Science to Advance Women’s Health (DSAWH) Fellowship 2026 is a prestigious initiative designed to empower women scholars in Eastern and Southern Africa who are passionate about using data science to tackle pressing issues in women’s health.
Supported by regional and international partners, the DSAWH Fellowship aims to build research capacity and bridge the gender gap in data science by equipping female researchers with advanced analytical, computational, and leadership skills. Fellows will engage in groundbreaking research projects addressing critical topics such as maternal health, reproductive rights, gender-based violence, and access to healthcare — with the ultimate goal of improving health outcomes for women and girls across Africa.
