Holland (NL) Scholarships 2026/2027 for Bachelor’s or Masters Study in the Netherlands (5,000 Euros)

Deadline: Varying by Institution

The Holland (NL) Scholarship 2026/2027 is a one-time grant of €5,000 designed for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to pursue a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at a Dutch higher-education institution. The scholarship is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, together with participating Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The amount is paid in the first year of study and is not intended to cover full tuition or full living costs.

Benefits
  • A grant of €5,000 paid in the first year of your study programme — a significant contribution towards your cost of study and living in the Netherlands.
  • Opportunity to study at a Dutch university, gaining international experience in a high-quality system recognised across Europe and globally.
  • Being selected for the scholarship adds to your academic profile, signalling recognition of your potential and merit.
  • The grant helps reduce financial burden in the first year, allowing you to focus more on study and less on immediate cost pressures.
  • It may open further opportunities: once you are in the Dutch system, you can explore networks, internships, research collaborations and European-wide linkages.
