Jacqueline Moore Bowles Scholarship 2022

The Jack and Jill of America Foundation – Jacqueline Moore Bowles Scholarship will provide need-based scholarships to service-oriented African American college students.

Eligibility criteria

  • Be African American and US citizen or permanent US resident.
  • Also be currently classified as a college freshman, sophomore or junior.
  • Be a full-time student for the 2022-2023 academic year at any 4-yeat college or university.
  • Be a major in Communications.
  • In addition, have a minimum cumulative grade pint average (GPA) of 3.0 on a scale 4.0 scale.
  • Have completed a minimum of 60 hours of community service between June 2021 – May 2022.
  • Moreover, have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) and have demonstrated unmet financial need verified by the applicant’s institution.

Application requirements

  • An official or unofficial current academic transcript.
  • A 1-page essay (please write a thoughtful 1-page word) essay describing how your community service and volunteer activities during the past year have and will prepare you for your future career.
  • Also, a completed Community Service Verification Form.
