The King’s Commonwealth Fellowship Programme invites applications for the Climate Resilience Fellowships for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) — a fully funded professional development opportunity aimed at empowering mid-career leaders tackling climate change challenges.
Hosted by King’s College London, this fellowship focuses on building the capacity of professionals from SIDS to address climate vulnerability, sustainable adaptation, and resilience strategies within their home countries. Fellows will engage in research, training, and policy dialogues with leading academics, government representatives, and international organizations.
This initiative supports the Commonwealth’s commitment to climate action, offering a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and leadership development among those at the forefront of climate resilience work.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of a Commonwealth Small Island Developing State (SIDS).
- Be a mid-career professional (typically 5–10 years of experience) in fields related to climate change, sustainability, or development.
- Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a strong commitment to climate resilience work in their home country.
- Have proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Be able to commit fully to the fellowship programme duration in the UK.
