Deadline: January 9, 2025
The Microsoft Imagine Cup Student Startup Competition 2026 is a global contest for student founders who want to turn technology-led ideas into scalable startups. Focused on projects that use Microsoft technologies (notably AI on Azure), the Student Startup Competition helps student teams validate product-market fit, polish prototypes, and access mentorship, technical support and visibility on a global stage. The programme combines learning modules, regional rounds, and an international final in which top teams pitch to industry judges.
Benefits
Benefits of The Microsoft Imagine Cup Student Startup Competition 2026:
- Technical support & credits: Teams can unlock Azure credits (up to USD $5,000) to build and test their minimum viable product (MVP).
- Cash prizes & investment visibility: Finalists compete for the grand prize (historical grand prizes have been six-figures — check the 2026 call for the exact amount), plus opportunities to meet investors and corporate partners.
- Mentorship & network: Coaching from Microsoft experts, connections to startup programmes, and exposure to global tech and investor communities.
- Product acceleration: Access to workshops, pitch practice, and the chance to showcase your startup to potential customers and partners.
