Nordic Pioneers is a youth initiative and changemaker network, celebrating and promoting the great role played by youth in generating safe, democratic local communities. The network gathers some of the Nordics most inspiring Pioneers, and each year DKK100.000 is awarded to four courageous youth who have shown considerable devotion to improve their local community.
Youth play a great role in generating safe and democratic communities that are united and resilient against hate and polarisation. Each day, thousands of Nordic Youth – entrepreneurs, musicians, sport leaders, activists – engage in creating change at local level.
The Nordic Pioneer Prize celebrates noteworthy actions undertaken by courageous Nordic youth; actions that draw on Nordic values of democracy, equality, mutual respect, and trust. The Pioneer Prize is awarded to 4 Nordic youth, that has demonstrated considerable devotion to increase local safety and cohesion in their local community, by tackling polarization, hate, and social exclusion. The prize is awarded at the Norwegian Embassy in Copenhagen.
