The One Young World Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship 2025 is a prestigious and fully funded opportunity for emerging young leaders passionate about mental health advocacy, human rights, gender equality, and social justice. Named after renowned Nigerian mental health advocate Hauwa Ojeifo, this scholarship celebrates youth leadership that champions inclusive wellbeing and human dignity.

Selected scholars will attend the One Young World Summit 2025, taking place in Munich, Germany, where they will connect with over 2,000 youth leaders, heads of state, entrepreneurs, and change-makers from around the globe.

This scholarship is open to young changemakers from all countries, particularly those making an impact in underrepresented or marginalized communities.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Young leaders aged 18 – 30* who:
  • Are leading or playing a leadership role in an organisation/initiative with proven impact in a field aligned with at least one of the following themes:
    • Mental Health including neurodivergence and developmental differences.
    • Domestic & Sexual Violence.
    • Disability Rights & the rights of older people.
    • Gynecological Health & Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights.
    • Maternal and Child Health.
    • Issues of the Girl Child (FGM, Child-Adolescent Pregnancy & Child Marriage).
    • Non-Communicable Diseases.
  • While this opportunity will support projects making an impact on any of the issues above, One Young World is particularly keen to connect with organisations that integrate psychosocial support and a disability inclusive lens in their programming.
  • Live and make an impact in AfricaAsia or the Middle East.

*Most delegates are between the ages of 18 and 30. The One Young World team will consider applications from those who are older than 30, pending demonstration of appropriate personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage
