The Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) is inviting applications for its prestigious Legislative Internship Program 2025, designed to equip young Nigerians with hands-on experience in legislative processes and democratic governance. Based in Abuja, Nigeria, this highly competitive program provides selected interns with first-hand exposure to Nigeria’s policy and legal environment, working with the National Assembly and other democratic institutions.
PLAC is a leading civil society organization committed to enhancing democratic governance, citizens’ participation, and legislative advocacy in Nigeria.
LOCATION: Abuja, Nigeria
DURATION OF INTERNSHIP: September 2025 to December 2025.

Logistics
- Only stipends to cover transportation and lunch costs within Abuja will be provided. Other logistics expenses will be borne by the interns.
- It is advised that prospective interns be able to reside within Abuja or bear the cost of residing in Abuja throughout the duration of the internship, as PLAC will not provide accommodation nor relocation costs.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PLAC Internship Program 2025, applicants must:
- Nigerian citizen between 21 and 35 years of age
- At least a first degree in any discipline from a Tertiary Institution
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Programme
- Good English writing and speaking skills
- Good computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Application Process and Documents Required
- Visit the PLAC internship recruitment portal:
- Complete the web application form and upload your CV in Microsoft Word format and saved in your name. Please include your State of origin, date of birth, and where you served (NYSC) on your CV.
- A “Statement of Interest/Purpose” explaining the importance of your participation in the internship should be included on the last page of your CV. The CV section should not be more than two pages long, while the Statement of Purpose should not exceed 300 words. Overall, you should be uploading just one document.
- Complete the accompanying Pre-Screening Assessment Form.
Note that you will be required to copy and paste the Statement of Purpose from your CV on the online application form.

- Applications sent after this date or in breach of the application procedure will not be considered.
