The World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2025 is a premier global recruitment program designed to attract and develop future leaders in the field of international development. This program offers young professionals the opportunity to work across the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA). Participants join as Technical Specialists, Economists, and Associate Investment Officers on an initial five-year term contract, which is renewable based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the YPP, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Born on or after October 1, 1992.
- Education: Hold a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or be substantially complete with a doctorate by September 1, 2025.
- Experience: At least four years of relevant professional experience or continued academic study at the doctoral level.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English; proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of a World Bank Group member country.
Application Process and Documents Required
- The application requires you to select a work program that best matches your expertise and experience.
- YPs typically join as Associate Investment Officers (IFC), Underwriters/Economists/Technical Specialists (MIGA), and/or Technical Specialists/Economists (IBRD). To support your selection, you will be required to demonstrate your technical expertise and experience (technical depth), ability to work across the World Bank Group and a variety of sectors (technical breadth), and strong leadership potential.
