The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN) are now accepting applications for the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2026 — a prestigious leadership development program that empowers university students to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This global initiative brings together young changemakers from over 100 countries, offering them the skills, community, and mentorship needed to make meaningful contributions toward social impact projects in their local communities. Fellows will participate in an eight-month leadership curriculum, designed to enhance collaboration, social impact strategy, and ethical leadership.
The Millennium Fellowship provides a platform for students to turn their ideas into action, strengthen their advocacy for sustainability and equality, and become recognized as future global leaders shaping a better world.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited university or college at the time of the application.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Exhibit leadership potential and passion for social change.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with campus peers and project teams.
- Commit to attending virtual and in-person sessions during the fellowship period.
- Be available for the entire fellowship duration (August–December 2026).
Program Timeline
If selected:
- Fellowship Launch: August 2026
- Program Entrance Survey and Fellowship Confirmation: To complete before August 30 or before your first Fellowship session
- Global Town Hall: August 2026
- Bi-weekly Meeting: Depending on your semester start date, your Campus Directors will arrange a 2-hour meeting. All campuses meet for a minimum 2 hours every other week for a minimum of 6 sessions. These meetings will take place on your campus between August-December on a date and time you decide together
- Graduation: November 2026
- End of Program Evaluation: Submit your materials by November 30, 2026
