The William Davidson Institute (WDI) at the University of Michigan invites applications for its prestigious Entrepreneurship Exchange Programme 2025. This transformative exchange is designed for undergraduate students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region who have a keen interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development.

The program aims to bridge global entrepreneurship practices by offering participants a unique opportunity to learn from top-tier academics, collaborate with Michigan students, and gain hands-on experience in startup environments. This fully funded program provides a platform for cross-cultural learning, entrepreneurial mindset development, and real-world business problem-solving.

Pitch competition:

The program culminates in a video pitch competition. After all three cohorts are complete, winning teams will join four live sessions with University of Michigan Lecturer Eric Fretz, who is known for his energetic, hands-on approach to entrepreneurship and student development. They will also receive a personalized coaching package consisting of 4 virtual sessions with international coach Victoria Hädler.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a current undergraduate student from a recognized university in the MENA region
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in entrepreneurship, startups, or business innovation
  • Possess leadership potential and a passion for solving real-world challenges
  • Have proficient English communication skills
  • Be available to fully participate in the program duration in the USA
  • Priority will be given to students who have not previously participated in international exchange programs

Application Process and Documents Required
  1. Complete the online application form on the WDI website
  2. Submit a personal statement/essay detailing interest in entrepreneurship and expected program impact
  3. Provide a resume or CV highlighting academic and extracurricular achievements
  4. Upload an official transcript from your university
  5. Include two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references
  6. Optional: Submit any portfolio or evidence of entrepreneurial projects
