The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) Fellowship Program 2026 is a highly competitive international fellowship designed for graduate students and early-career professionals interested in intellectual property (IP), innovation, and global patent systems. Hosted by WIPO at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, the program offers participants hands-on exposure to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)—one of the world’s most important international patent filing systems.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the WIPO PCT Fellowship Program 2026, applicants must generally meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in or recently graduated from a postgraduate program (Master’s or PhD level)
- Have an academic background in law, engineering, science, technology, or related fields
- Demonstrate strong interest in intellectual property and patent systems
- Possess excellent written and spoken English (knowledge of French is an advantage)
- Be available for the full fellowship duration
- Show strong analytical, research, and communication skills
Candidates from developing and least-developed countries are strongly encouraged to apply.
