WIPO Young Experts Program 2025/2026

The WIPO Young Experts Program (YEP) is a prestigious two-year initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of global Intellectual Property (IP) leaders. Hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland, this program offers a unique opportunity for young professionals to gain hands-on experience in various IP-related initiatives. Participants will develop both technical and strategic skills, contributing to the future economic growth of their countries and regions.

Benefits

1. Monthly Stipend: Participants receive a generous stipend of 5,000 Swiss Francs (CHF) per month.
2. Medical and Accident Insurance: WIPO covers 50% of medical insurance costs and provides accident insurance.
3. Travel Expenses: Contribution towards travel expenses to and from Geneva.
4. Visa Assistance: Possible assistance with obtaining an entry visa to Switzerland.
5. Accommodation Guidance: Support from WIPO’s staff counsellor regarding accommodation in Geneva.
6. Professional Development: Exposure to both technical and strategic aspects of IP, enhancing leadership and administrative skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age: Applicants must be a maximum of 35 years old at the time of application.
• Availability: Must be available for the full 24-month duration of the program (2025-2026).
• Education: A first-level university degree is required.
• Experience: At least two years of relevant experience.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, research, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with IP, innovation, or creativity is advantageous.
