The Women In Africa (WIA) Women for Zero Hunger Program 2026 is a flagship initiative that supports nonprofit organisations and social enterprises working to combat hunger, food insecurity, and malnutrition across Africa. Spearheaded by Women In Africa (WIA)—a leading pan-African platform dedicated to women’s economic empowerment—the program aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger.
The Women for Zero Hunger Program focuses on scalable, community-driven solutions that improve access to nutritious food, strengthen agricultural value chains, empower women farmers, and promote sustainable food systems. The initiative prioritises projects led by women and girls, or that significantly benefit them, recognising their critical role in food production, nutrition, and household resilience.
Selected organisations gain access to financial support, technical assistance, visibility, and strategic partnerships, helping them scale their impact and reach underserved communities.
