This initiative supports projects that deepen understanding and foster innovative solutions to the challenges posed by climate change, with a focus on rainforests, oceans, and their interconnectedness with workers and vulnerable communities.
Benefits
Recipients of the ISF 2024 will benefit from microscale grants ranging from USD $2,500 to $4,500, tailored to support educational and engagement initiatives. These funds can be utilized for various activities, including collaborative projects with Pulitzer Center-supported journalists, knowledge exchange programs, student immersive learnings, and the production of visual content to aid learning.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the ISF 2024, applicants must be university professors or researchers based in an institution. Consortia of educators from universities in one or more regions of the country are also welcome to propose a project. All proposals must utilize at least one story reported by Pulitzer Center-supported journalists and explain its relevance to the project.

Applicants are required to submit a detailed proposal outlining their project’s objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes. The proposal should include a budget, a timeline for implementation, and demonstrate how Pulitzer Center-supported stories will be integrated into the project. Additionally, applicants must provide their curriculum vitae and any relevant supporting documents.
