Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the University of Michigan-Dearborn International Students Scholarship in the USA; applicants are to meet up with the following     

Requirements for Freshmen

  • The international student that holds a valid visa
  • GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • SAT combined score of 1020 or higher (ACT composite score of 20)
  • Full-time degree-seeking enrollment at the University of Michigan-Dearborn
  • Renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at UM-Dearborn
  • English Language Requirement: English Proficiency score of IELTS (6.5), TOEFL (IBT-80, CBT-213, PBT-550), or MELAB (76).

Requirements for Transfers

  • The international student that holds a valid visa
  • GPA of 3.5 (4.0 scale)
  • Full-time degree-seeking enrolment at the University of Michigan-Dearborn
  • Renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at UM-Dearborn
  • English Language Requirement: English Proficiency score of IELTS (6.5), TOEFL (IBT-80, CBT-213, PBT-550), or MELAB (76).

Note: If you have earned less than 24 transferrable credits, you must also submit:

  • SAT combined score of 1020 or higher (ACT composite score of 20)
  • Official High School Transcripts
  • English Language Requirement: English Proficiency score of IELTS (6.5), TOEFL (IBT-80, CBT-213, PBT-550), or MELAB (76).

Application Procedure

As part of the application process for this program, eligible and interested applicants are required to apply for admission in an undergraduate degree program at U-M. Thereafter, the candidates can fill the common application for this bursary. Applicants are also expected to meet all the entry requirements of the university.

Document Requirement: Candidates are expected to submit SAT combined score of 1020 or higher (ACT composite score of 20) and official High School Transcripts.
